British expats 'moving to Cyprus'
Monday December 17th , 2007

Cyprus is proving to be highly popular among expatriates from Britain, according to experts.
Expat Network said that many people from the UK were interested in setting up home in another country.
The Mediterranean island was highlighted as one of the most popular locations, especially among older people.
Sheila Hare, editor and director of Expat Network, commented: "Cyprus is a big expat retirement place."
The comments come alongside the release of official figures showing the island's appeal to foreign holidaymakers.
Data cited by the Financial Mirror revealed that between January and November 2007, Cyprus attracted more than two million leisure travellers from overseas.
This is 0.5 per cent higher than the figure recorded for the first 11 months of 2006.
Cyprus was found to appeal to a number of different nationalities, with a large proportion of visitors coming from countries such as the UK, Germany and Russia.
