Cyprus attracts British investors

Cyprus is continuing to be a highly popular location among overseas property buyers from the UK, according to a media outlet.
The Sunday Mail described the Mediterranean island as a hotspot for foreign investors, including holiday home buyers who want a residence for personal use.
Commenting on the country, the publication highlighted a number of the factors that have helped make it a leading tourist destination, such as its historical sites and traditional villages.
In addition, the Sunday Mail said that people could enjoy Cyprus' "fantastic" beaches all year round thanks to the favourable weather conditions.
The newspaper remarked: "Now it's one of the hottest spots to invest in overseas property."
Cyprus' appeal as a holiday destination could also make the island a potentially lucrative market for investors, as incoming tourists will require rental accommodation.
This could put investors in line to enjoy high occupancy rates and strong rental yields.
According to official statistics cited by the Cyprus Mail, more than 50,000 holidaymakers visited the Mediterranean island during January.
