New Cyprus flights are airline's 'fastest ever selling'
Thursday April 2nd , 2009

A UK airline's new service to Cyprus has become the fastest selling route it has ever operated.
Monarch Airlines reports that half of its 22,000 summer seats to the island from Birmingham airport were sold before the first flight had even taken off on Sunday.
The air company will now offer 21 weekly services to Larnaca airport, bringing welcome news to tourists and Cyprus property owners alike.
Other Monarch services to the island will depart from London Gatwick and Manchester.
Monarch's managing director Tim Jeans comments that the large demand for Cyprus flights proves there was a gap in the market for West Midlands-based travellers.
A low-cost flight provider, Monarch also supplies airliners to the tour operation industry and offers engineering facilities.
