Azure Overseas has launched a new five-star resort in the southern Italian region of Calabria.
The Pizzo Beach Club is just 15 minutes drive from Lamezia International Airport and a short walk away from the beach to the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Azure director Frank Crowley noted that the region was just beginning to establish itself as an area for property investment as the credit crunch hit.
"This means Calabria still has all the strengths it had then. Calabria is a relatively virgin market, and while it saw many new developments in 2008, it is still what you would call very under-developed when looked at in the context of just how rapidly tourism is rising," he explained.
Facilities on the new development include a football field, tennis courts, a club house with restaurant and swimming pools.
Recent data from Hotels.com indicated that one-night breaks in the Italian city of Florence increased by a massive 532 per cent last year.
International Property Awards in association with Google and Bloomberg Television have awarded MASA Internaitonal the Best Estate Agency in Spain award.
