Cyprus 'still more popular' than Greece and Egypt

Cyprus is still a popular location for UK property investors, beating rivals such as Greece and Egypt, according to an overseas property portal.
New findings from Property Index reveal that people are increasingly focusing on cheap real estate bargains within the island's low-priced market.
The company says it believes that Cyprus has "plenty of potential" for new investors and that a range of forthcoming golf course developments will help boost the tourism industry during the global economic downturn.
Property Index, which specialises in overseas real estate, also believes that interest in Cyprus will rise once it becomes the site for a second European Disneyland theme park.
The firm announced earlier this month that searches for properties in Cyprus made up an impressive 3.41 per cent of its total user searches.
