The number of people researching holidays and properties in Cyprus has increased dramatically, an online travel guide reveals.
Figures from Cyprus44.com suggest that the website received one million page views last month, with more than 6,000 unique daily visitors.
With a focus on the north of the island, the website claims good exchange rates and guaranteed Mediterranean sunshine are tempting more visitors to Cyprus this summer.
Izzet Zorlu, the founder of Cyprus44.com, says the country has "great beaches to explore" and a variety of "fun activities to enjoy".
He adds that the island offers bargain getaways that will help travellers escape the bad news of the current economic climate.
Cyprus44.com offers a detailed online guide to the Mediterranean island, with information on flights, hotels and tourist information spots.
