Retired couple 'feel at home in Turkey'

A retired couple have spoke about moving their life from Scotland to Turkey.

Brian and Anne Wardleworth, who had previously lived in Aberdeenshire, told the Sunday Mail that they have lived in Turkey for two months now and added the move has made "such a difference to their lives".

The couple had never initially considered the country as a possible destination but were impressed by the prices of property in Turkey so organised a trip out, Brian said.

He added they visited the country a total of five ties before purchasing their new apartment fully furnished.

Brian stated: "As soon as we turned the key in the door for the first time, we knew we'd made the right move.

"There are things we'll miss about Scotland but everyone is so friendly here that we feel we're settling in really well."

Liam Bailey and Nicholas Barnes from Knight Frank, recently wrote in the Financial Times the property market in Turkey deserves "serious buyer and investor consideration".
