People travelling to buy property in Italy and other EU countries this Easter should act soon to get the best euro exchange rates, a currency firm has urged.
Currency specialist HiFX claims that although sterling has staged a slight recovery in the past week, travellers should get their cash changed well before they reach the airport.
HiFX director Mark Bodega says it's important people have time to shop around before changing their pounds for foreign currencies.
Mr Bodega commented: "If you wait until you're in the airport to buy currency then you won't know if you are being offered a good rate or a bad rate because you'll have nothing to compare it with."
HiFX recommends that travellers should consider both currency exchange rates and hidden commission fees before swapping their money.
Founded in 1998, HiFX last year advised and supervised over £20 billion of foreign currency exchange.
