Calabria experiencing 'property boom'

An area in southern Italy is currently experiencing a property boom, with another development recently being released in the region.

Windrush Alliance has unveiled Portoada Park in Calabria – an area which is rivalling some of the country's more famous property hotspots.

The new development – which is due for completion in March – boasts villa homes in a private gated community in close proximity to the beach and the town of Pizzo.

Windrush Alliance describes the Portoada Park development as "one of the most exclusive villa developments" in the area.

Villa homes on the new development can be secured from 279,900 Euros ($357,806).

Calabria is now competing with some of Italy's more established markets, such as Tuscany, yet offers prices below some of the more well-known areas.

Another Calabrian property scheme, Terrazas di Pizzo, was announced by First Property Choice earlier this week.
The group claims the development is "emerging as the most exciting holiday home location in the whole of Europe".
