Italian market 'is thriving'

Overseas property investors are returning to established property markets such as Italy, according to an expert.

Linda Travella, broadcaster and founder of Casa Travella, stated that the Italian market was "thriving" because it was seen to offer a large number of benefits to investors.

Firstly, overseas buyers were said to feel sure of their investment in a stable market, while many also preferred to purchase property in an easily accessible destination.

Ms Travella also said that Italy's good infrastructure was an attraction, as the country met the lifestyle requirements of investors from other developed countries.

She continued: "They are seeking the good things in life and Italy has that in abundance."

The country's attractive scenery, beaches and cultural heritage was also praised, along with the friendly and welcoming nature of local people.

Earlier this month, research by Saga Holidays found that Italy was the most popular holiday destination in Europe with people from the UK.
