Italian region offers investment opportunities

An overseas property expert has highlighted the investment potential in the Puglia region of Italy.
Amanda Lamb, host of the Channel 4 programme A Place in the Sun, told the Manchester Evening News that prices in the area are "rocketing".
This has prompted her to buy a dual-purpose holiday home in Puglia, which will act as both a temporary retreat from the UK and a good investment.
Speaking to the newspaper, she said she was first tempted to buy in the area after taking a couple round a property during the making of her programme.
Ms Lamb commented: "I absolutely fell in love with it but so did they and I thought it would be bad form to gazump one of our guests."
She added that she was planning to visit her new Italian property every couple of months.
According to Holiday-Rentals, more than nine in ten properties owned by UK investors are located in Europe.
