Tuesday March 18th , 2008

In news that may be of interest to those looking for property in Italy, new figures have revealed that the country's Valle d'Aosta region attracted more visitors year-on-year in 2007.
This was announced by the regional councillor for education and culture Laurent Vierin, according to the Ansa.it tourism website.
In 2007, 277,000 people headed to this part of Italy, which constituted a 40 per cent increase on figures from 2006.
With interest in the area increasing, now may be the ideal time for property investors buying in Italy to make their purchase.
The announcement comes one week before the region is set to celebrate Culture Week, which runs between March 25th and 31st.
Castles, towers and other fortresses are some of the attractions that the area provides. It also has a "particularly rich and intense feudal history", according to another tourism portal, regione.vda.it.
