New European flights to launch from Leeds
Wednesday May 7th , 2008

Holidaymakers in West Yorkshire will soon be able to access more flights to continental Europe.
Services to countries such as Spain and Cyprus will be launched from Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) by Thomas Cook Airlines within the next few months.
The new flights will mean that consumers who live within the airport's sphere of influence will have a wider range of destinations from which to choose.
As a result, it is likely that many of these locations will benefit from increased visitor numbers during the summer.
This could be a positive development for owners of property in prime locations, as they could experience a surge in demand for rental accommodation.
Tony Hallwood, commercial and aviation development director at LBIA, commented: "For many customers across the Yorkshire region, flying from their regional airport is high priority when booking their holiday."
This comes just after easyJet announced that it will begin operating a service between Manchester and Alicante in September.
