TV expert recommends European markets

A well-known overseas property expert has recommended that investors consider purchasing a residence in established European destinations.
Amanda Lamb, presenter of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun, advised people to look at the housing market in the south of Italy, describing it as a "good place" to buy a home.
Speaking to Female First, she said that areas such as Calabria and Apulia, located on the heel and boot of Italy, were particularly strong options for overseas property investors.
Ms Lamb added that other European countries such as Spain also offered a number of opportunities, particularly in cities such as Zarogaza.
She said: "It's between Madrid and Barcelona and the prices there look set to go up quite dramatically in the next couple of years."
This follows recent research by Yorkshire Bank which found that 43 per cent of Britons were considering buying a property in a sunny location.
