Child-free zones on planes 'would prove popular'

Many tourists and property owners in Italy and other countries would favour child-free zones on aeroplanes, a new study reveals.

The report by travel community TripAdvisor suggests that 79 per cent of British travellers would welcome adults-only areas on planes.

A poll of 509 people finds that 19 per cent of parents believe that journeying with their children can prove to be a headache.

Luke Fredburg of TripAdvisor says that family trips abroad are rarely stress-free.

However, he adds they are "an unbeatable opportunity for spending quality time" with relations.

TripAdvisor's report also claims that 51 per cent of female travellers believe that male partners are equally as difficult as children to please.

Recent research by the financial services provider NS&I found that 46 per cent of savers are keeping money back to finance a holiday.ADNFCR-1210-ID-19109639-ADNFCR
