Cyprus is not just for sun lovers

Fans of all things snow related may not naturally think of Cyprus as the ideal ski holiday destination, but they may want to take a closer look, it has been claimed.

Cyprus has an established reputation for sun, sea, sand and long stretches of beach, but for holidaymakers caught between skiing versus sunbathing, the country offers an opportunity to experience the best of both worlds, propertywire.com reports.

The ski season in the Troodos Village area of Cyprus lasts four months, from late December to early April, with the annual Federation Internationale de Ski giant slalom and slalom competitions, taking place in early March.

Cyprus is also noted as an excellent location for golf enthusiasts, with five major 18-hole courses on the island.
