David and Victoria Beckham 'househunting in Lake Como'

Rumours are spreading that David and Victoria Beckham have been making enquiries about properties around Lake Como, one of Italy's most exclusive regions.

David is on loan to AC Milan for three months from January and it is expected he will be looking to buy a home in the country.

Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi is particularly keen on the move and according to reports, has said he would like Victoria to front a documentary about the family's move to the country in a similar vein to her 2007 documentary Victoria Beckham: Coming to America.

According to property expert Linda Travella, this is not the first time the Beckhams have been spotted property-hunting in the country.

She said that in 2003 they had been looking for a villa on Lake Como and had been considering something around Moltrasio, Laglio, near where George Clooney owns a home.

Other residents in the area include Mr Berlusconi and entrepreneur Richard Branson.
