Airlines to launch new Alicante flights

Investors who have purchased a buy-to-let property in Alicante could be set to benefit from higher demand.

Direct flights from Norwich International Airport are being reinstated after Flybe controversially decided to scrap the route last summer.

According to the Norwich Evening News, the services will be operated by LTE International Airways, in a move which will see it service the UK for the very first time.

This means that consumers in Norfolk will no longer have to travel to London in order to fly out to Alicante.

As a result, the accessibility improvements could potentially boost tourism in the Spanish province, which in turn would lead to a surge in rental demand.

Richard Jenner, managing director of Norwich Airport, commented: "Norwich is the only UK airport [LTE] are going to be flying from and they want to be the airline for Norwich when it comes to flying to Spain."

The announcement coincides with the news that extra planes are to be added to Monarch Airlines' Gatwick to Alicante route.

This service will begin running 11 times a week later in the year.
