British investors snap up Spanish property

Spain is continuing to attract foreign property buyers from the UK, a media report has revealed.
The European country was flagged up as one of the most popular destinations for British investors and lifestyle buyers by Your Mortgage.
According to the online portal, Spain is one of the "big names" in the European property market and has long-standing appeal.
This was said to be partly due to its good weather, as visitors can expect hot and sunny conditions for 12 months of the year.
Your Mortgage commented: "We may be facing one of the hottest summers in living memory, but that doesn't stop people from casting their eyes overseas."
However, the website suggested that prospective buyers carry out thorough research before purchasing a property abroad.
According to Holiday-Rentals, almost a third of European properties owned by UK-based buyers are located in the country.
