Costa Blanca set to attract Britons

Owners of rental accommodation in the Costa Blanca could be set to benefit from an influx of British tourists.

Direct flights between Norwich International Airport and Alicante are set to resume this weekend after Flybe decided to cancel the route last summer.

The services are being operated by LTE International Airways in what is its first-ever transport link with the UK.

This could potentially encourage more holidaymakers from the Norfolk region to visit the Spanish holiday resort, a development which would lead to further demand for temporary lodgings in the region.

As a result, overseas property investors who own rental accommodation in Alicante will be well-placed to benefit.

Richard Jenner, managing director of the airport, told the Norwich Evening News: "Travellers from across our catchment area have been delighted to see the launch of new services to Spain."

The new transport links means that consumers in Norfolk will no longer have to travel to London in order to fly out to Alicante.
