Established tourist markets attract investors

Traditional holiday destinations in Europe are continuing to attract overseas property buyers, industry analysts have revealed.
According to BuyAssociation, Spain in particular is still very popular because people enjoy visiting the country.
Paul Collins, property editor at the website, commented: "You will get people buying for lifestyle and also to try and let the places out."
However, he said people who are looking to market a property to tourists should research recent market trends in their chosen location, such as the level of rental demand.
Mr Collins stated that if people follow this advice, they could take advantage of some "fantastic" investment opportunities.
According to figures from the Association of International Property Professionals, 25.4 per cent of all foreign properties purchased by British buyers last year were in Spain.
During this period, the country attracted more than 59 million holidaymakers.
