Expat recommends Spain to retirees
Monday August 4th , 2008

Retirees in the UK who wish to live abroad have been advised to consider relocating to Spain.
Former British expatriate Becky Mahoney said the European country is not ideal for people who want to work overseas, as foreigners often find themselves in a holiday mindset.
Speaking to the Bournemouth Echo, she added that the way of life in Spain is very relaxed and laidback.
Therefore, she has said that while she would not recommend the country to working people, it would be perfect for older expatriates.
Ms Mahoney commented: "If you're retired and receiving a pension then there's no reason why you can't live a fantastic life in the sun."
According to Shelter Offshore, Spain is still one of the main hotspots for senior expatriates.
This was said to be largely because it offers numerous lifestyle attractions that are highly conducive to a relaxing and pleasant retirement.
For example, the website said it offers hot and sunny weather for most of the year, unlike the UK.
