Expats urged to plan removals carefully

Expatriates who are preparing to relocate to countries such as Spain have been urged to use a reputable removals firm.

Burke Bros stated that that many people fail to plan the transportation of their possessions overseas properly and encounter problems as a result.

Therefore, the company has recommended that consumers make all the necessary preparations way in advance.

Gary Burke, managing director of the firm, said this would help them to make the right decisions when it comes to picking a removal company.

He commented: "Always look for companies that have their own vehicles and packers and check accreditations."

Mr Burke added the expatriates would also benefit from reading reviews from previous customers, as this would help them decide whether or not they are dealing with a reputable firm.

According to UK-based newspaper the Sun, about 5.5 million British nationals are now living in another country.
