Holidaymakers advised to visit Spain
Friday February 8th , 2008

Leisure travellers from the UK have been advised to consider visiting Spain for this year's summer holiday.
British newspaper the Sun stated that the Costas were especially popular, as they offered a mix of culture and natural beauty.
For example, the Costa Verde was described as a region that has "superb beaches", while tourists were also encouraged to visit its capital Bilbao.
In addition, the coastline of the Costa Brava was described as one of the most beautiful in the whole of Spain.
The Sun commented: "The Spanish Costas are a family favourite, with their golden sands, warm Mediterranean sea and sparkling sunshine."
This comes after data from the Spanish government revealed that 59.2 million people visited the country in 2007 - up by 1.7 per cent on the previous year.
About one in four holidaymakers were found to come from Britain, while figures also indicated that Spain was also highly popular with people from Germany and France.
