Investors 'should not rush into a purchase'
Monday June 16th , 2008

Overseas property buyers have been advised not to let their excitement cloud their judgement when making a purchase.
Simon Conn from Conti Financial Services stated that anybody who is thinking of buying a residence abroad should remain calm and rational.
Speaking to This Is Money, he said this is important because many consider the prospect of owning a foreign residence very exciting.
Therefore, people could make mistakes and overlook important issues in their eagerness to buy.
Mr Conn commented: "Don't let your heart rule your head.
"The principles you would stick to in the UK also apply when buying overseas."
He also recommended that buyers get professional advice from independent specialists, including solicitors, valuers, architects and surveyors.
According to Jet-to-let magazine, Spain is currently one of the top ten investment spots for British investors this year.
