New flights set to boost Spanish tourism
Monday July 7th , 2008

Owners of rental accommodation in Spain could be set to benefit from the launch of new flights from the UK.
LTE International Airways has outlined its intention to expand at Norwich Airport following the introduction of routes to three Spanish destinations this week.
Michael Harrington, managing director of the airline, said routes to Malaga, Las Palmas and Tenerife should be up and running before the end of the year.
These should complement the existing routes between Norwich and Alicante, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona.
This is likely to be a positive development for owners of property in these regions as it suggests that demand for rental accommodation will increase.
As a result, investors should be able to enjoy lower vacancy rates and higher rental yields.
Speaking to the Eastern Daily Press, Mr Harrington commented: "Hopefully we will be the principal carrier from Norwich to Spain."
According to Mondial Assistance, more than 30 per cent of holidaymakers from the UK will fly to Spain this summer.
