Thursday June 19th , 2008

Owners of property in the Costa del Sol could be set to benefit from new flights to the region.
Low-cost airline bmibaby has confirmed that will begin offering flights to Malaga from four UK-based airports later this year.
Crawford Rix, managing director of the carrier, believes the flights from Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester and East Midlands will be widely used by foreign property owners.
He commented: "Holiday home owners will benefit from the frequent flights to Malaga."
Mr Rix added that the region is one of several "key destinations" in the Mediterranean and an ideal location for "sun lovers" to visit.
The announcement came as bmibaby unveiled its schedules for winter 2008, which also include flights between the UK and the Costa Blanca.
Meanwhile, Irish airline Aer Lingus has announced that it will also offer extra services to the Malaga region.
The company said the decision to increase the frequency of flights from Dublin Airport demonstrates its commitment to responding to consumer demand.
