Rental investors to benefit from bank holiday tourism

Many rental investors in Spain are likely to find the forthcoming bank holiday weekend highly lucrative.

According to budget airline easyJet, the European country will be the main hotspot for British holidaymakers during the three-day break.

The carrier said flights to Alicante have been in particularly high demand, along with Malaga.

In addition, it revealed that many people from the UK are planning to take city breaks to Barcelona in the next few days.

This suggests that these areas will have seen an increase in demand for rental accommodation for this weekend.

Marianne West, PR executive at easyJet, commented: "More people than ever are taking advantage of their bank holiday weekends [and] jetting off across Europe to soak up a little sun."

She added that many are choosing to head abroad because poor weather has been the forecast for the UK this weekend.

This comes after a poll by TripAdvisor found that almost half of all respondents are planning to go away for the holiday weekend, of which one in five intend to travel abroad.
