Spain praised by holiday home owner

A second home buyer from Scotland has spoken positively of his recent acquisition in Spain.

Alan White purchased a property in Costa Blanca with his wife in order to indulge his passion for golf in a sunny climate.

Speaking to the Sunday Mail, he said the area is perfect for fans of the sport, while it also offers attractions for his wife and children.

He commented: "It's perfect for a golfer like me but it's also great for all my family because we're very close to some great shopping centres and restaurants."

Mr White added that lots of golf-loving expatriates live in the area on a permanent basis, which has enabled him to enjoy the company of likeminded people.

However, he said he does not intend to leave Scotland and plans to divide his time between home and his Spanish property.

This comes shortly after research by Fly Monarch revealed that Spain is currently one of the most popular destinations for golf-loving holidaymakers.
