Spanish government praised over property reforms

Spain's government has been praised for pledging to reform the country's property-buying system.
The Spanish Socialist Party was recently re-elected to serve another term in office, during which it will be required to implement its manifesto commitments.
One of its pledges was to make the process of buying a property in the country much simpler and buyer-friendly.
Peter Esders, a partner at The International Law Partnership, has welcomed the move and said it could generate new interest from property buyers, reports Homes Worldwide.
He commented: "This will make trading in this market safer and thus improve confidence in the Spanish property market on a worldwide level."
Mr Esders added that Spain has long been a favourite with foreign property buyers, particularly those from the UK.
Earlier this month, Spanish publication SUR said that during the recent Homebuyers and Property Investors exhibition in London, the country attracted lots of interest from visitors.
