Visitors to Spain should get currency soon
Thursday April 10th , 2008

People who are planning to make a trip to Spain in the near future have been advised to collect their euros as soon as possible.
Earlier this week, the pound slipped to a record low against the single European currency.
This means that British travellers will not be able to get as much as for their money, which could make any trip more expensive than in the past.
Since the value of the pound could decline even further if current economic conditions persist, consumers have been advised to act sooner rather than later.
Kevin Mountford from Moneysupermarket.com said: "This is having quite an impact. Tourists now have to be careful not to leave their currency exchange until the last minute."
However, Frances Tuke of the Association of British Travel Agents told the Daily Express that the cost of living in the eurozone is still cheaper than the UK "generally speaking".
This comes soon after Liam Bailey of Knight Frank reassured property investors that the Spanish housing market is performing strongly in the face of global economic problems such as the credit crunch.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said this means that some parts of the country still offer a favourable environment for investors.
