Antalya attracts foreign investors

Overseas property buyers are increasingly choosing to snap up properties in the Turkish resort of Antalya, a media outlet has revealed.

According to Business Week, the city has become the location of choice for both holiday home buyers and expatriates.

This was said to be because it offers numerous lifestyle attractions, such as good beaches and sunny weather.

Antalya was also praised for its historical and cultural attractions, as well as its various leisure facilities, including golf courses.

Commenting on the region, Business Week said it is becoming popular with people from all over the world, especially retirees.

The publication remarked: "With its stunning scenery and wealth of antiquities, Turkey is quickly emerging as a new property hotspot for European and US home buyers."

This comes after research by Dokuz Eylul University revealed that Antalya is currently home to 13,832 retired foreign nationals.
