More people flying with Turkish Airlines
Thursday December 13th , 2007

A growing number of people are choosing to fly with Turkish Airlines, according to new figures.
A trading statement from the carrier revealed that between January and November, it transported a total of18 million people, reports Reuters.
This is 16.3 per cent higher than the figure recorded during the same period of the previous year and reflects the continuing increase in Turkey's popularity among holidaymakers.
Higher visitor numbers in the country will likely to lead to more demand for rental accommodation, therefore making it a more attractive market for property investors to consider.
In addition, growing tourism could be highly lucrative for the country's economy, as it would lead to growth in areas such as the construction and service sectors.
This comes shortly after it reported that its net profits during the first nine months of 2007 rose by more than half to £79 million.
