Turkey 'good investment choice for Brits'

Property in Turkey is a wise investment choice for Brits looking to make a foreign purchase as the country has not adopted the euro, it has been claimed.

Atlas International notes that many investors are shifting their focus to Turkey as the currency situation means they are getting significantly more for their money.

James Dearsley, European sales manager at Atlas International, said improvements to the infrastructure and the increase in the general standard of living have made it an attractive proposition for many buyers.

"Because Turkey is not in the euro, it means that it is a very good investment for them because they don't have the euro exchange rate" he remarked.

According to figures from the World Tourism Organisation, Turkey was the ninth most visited country in the world in 2007.

Property specialists Azure Overseas recently claimed that the global economic downturn is boosting interest in Turkish property from overseas investors.
