Turkey set to attract more Russians

Turkey is likely to attract a greater number of Russian holidaymakers this year following the launch of new flights.

Services between Antalya and Moscow are being launched by Turkish Airlines ahead of the peak holiday season this summer, reports Reuters.

This represents a further improvement to the accessibility of the country to Russian consumers and is likely to create extra demand for rental accommodation.

As a result, the Antalya region could be a potentially good market for overseas property investors to consider, since they could possibly collect strong rental returns.

The news coincides with a report in Russia Today, which said that Turkey is seeing numerous economic benefits as a result of its growing popularity.

According to the news provider, more than two million Russian holidaymakers visited Turkey last year.

This is a welcome development for Turkish tourist officials who want to attract more than 50 million foreign visitors a year by 2023.
