Turkish airline named best in southern Europe

Property buyers in Turkey enjoy better standards of flying with Turkish Airlines, which has been named the best southern European air carrier.
The country's national aviation firm was awarded the title following a survey by the market research company Skytrax.
Skytrax evaluations cover more than 750 aspects of airline quality and service with 15.4 million air passengers polled over a ten month period.
At the awards ceremony, Turkish Airlines was also granted four star status in the areas of first class travel, business travel and economy class in long haul flights.
Originally established in 1933, Turkish Airlines has grown to carry a fleet of 131 aircraft.
Founded in 1989, Skytrax is a not-for-profit UK company that aims to extensively review the quality performance of global airlines and airports.
