Turkish Airlines issues positive report
Tuesday December 4th , 2007

A growing number of people are passing through airports in Turkey, new figures have revealed.
According to Turkish Airlines, a total of eight million people flew with the carrier during the first nine months of 2007.
This is 19.4 per cent higher than the figure recorded 12 months earlier and suggests that the country is seeing increased levels of tourism.
Higher visitor numbers in the country are likely to lead to more demand for rental accommodation, therefore making it a more attractive market for rental investors to consider.
The positive figures were reflected in Turkish Airlines' overall profits for the year, which increased by 52.4 per cent to £79 million.
This comes shortly after the carrier announced that it wanted to continue expanding during the next few years.
According to general manager Temel Kotil, the target is for it to carry 30 million passengers a year by 2010.
