Turkish Airlines set to increase flight numbers

Turkish Airlines is set to increase its number of landings by 12 per cent this summer following a rise in demand from tourists and people moving to Turkey.

As well as expanding existing passenger routes, the popular airline will offer new services to countries like Brazil and Ukraine.

Turkish Airlines, the country's national aviation company, will now run flights to 152 cities worldwide.

Flights to New York are to rise in frequency from seven to nine times a day, while journeys to Paris and Dusseldorf will rise from three flights to four.

The company's extended summer schedule began on March 29th.

It follows figures released by the global research firm RNCOS that suggest the country enjoyed a 12.5 per cent tourism growth during 2008.

In a bid to improve quality and speed, Turkish Airlines recently added Airbus A321 aircraft to its fleet.ADNFCR-1210-ID-19098336-ADNFCR
