UK expat praises Turkey
Tuesday January 22nd , 2008

Turkey has been praised by a British expatriate for offering a lower cost of living than the UK.
Rosemary Nigbur stated that her general outgoings had been reduced as a result of setting up home in the country.
She added that Turkey also had further financial perks for expatriates, such as a rapidly growing property market.
This means that the value of houses is going up all the time, which could be highly profitable should a property owner ever choose to sell up in the future.
Along with her husband, Ms Nigbur purchased a three-bedroom villa for £113,000.
However, she stated that only two weeks after moving in the property was valued at £140,000.
Ms Nigbur commented: "We are so glad that we ended up in Turkey as the people and climate are fantastic."
According to official figures, about 207,000 UK nationals moved abroad on a permanent basis during 2006.
