Axarquia
The Axarquia, to the east of Malaga, is a firm favourite with many looking to purchase a second home in Spain and no wonder!
A land of contrasts, Axarquia has so much to offer as well as being just a short drive from Malaga airport with its short, regular flights from the UK. There are lively, seafront towns such as Torre del Mar where you can stroll along the esplanade at sunset, eat and drink in the great choice of bars and restaurants or play a game of golf on one of the great local courses. Torre del Mar offers a great choice of properties at excellent prices whether you are looking for a holiday home or a permanent move, and the rental opportunities are excellent.
Others prefer to head inland and discover the richness of scenery, the stunning turquoise Lake Viñuela, scented pine forests and towering mountains. Visit the winding white villages and step back in time, relax and breathe the clear air and enjoy the shade from the forests in the Sierra Tejeda National Park close by.
