The best place to spend a baking hot day is on the beach at Belek. The sand is a soft, milky white and while the breeze from the Med offers a welcome relief, the glistening waters are calm enough for long chilled-out floating.

And when you fancy a little culture, check out some of the nearby ancient sites or museums and enjoy an open air concert at the ancient Aspendos Theatre, built in the 2nd Century.

Quick Fact: Belek is quick and easy to get to; just a three to four hour flight from the UK to Antalya airport and from there it’s only a 25 minute drive and you’re here.

Quick Tip: It’s not always easy to find a public toilet in Turkey so it’s worth knowing that all mosques have public toilets (Tuvalet) -"Bay" is man; "Bayan" means lady.
